A unique programme where families can pay a portion of their child's tuition fees using recyclable plastics — turning waste into learning in Ajegunle, Lagos.
How It Works
Three simple steps.

Collect
Families gather clean plastic bottles and recyclables from home and their neighbourhood.

Bring to school
Parents drop recyclables at Isrina Schools, where they are weighed and logged.
03
Credited to tuition
A portion of the child's tuition is offset. Recyclables are sold on to partner recyclers.
Why It Matters
Two problems, one solution.
Ajegunle is choked with plastic waste. At the same time, many children in the community are out of school because families can't afford tuition.
Recyclables-for-Tuition turns one problem into the answer to the other — parents keep their child in school with dignity, and the community becomes visibly cleaner.
